Manager Transportation | 7-10 Years | Mumbai

A leading organization in the FMCG / Beverage / Food industry, with a solid supply chain and distribution network. The organization is looking for an experienced transportation professional who can drive cost efficiency, operational excellence, vendor performance, and timely deliveries across its transportation network.

An established organization offering an opportunity to manage large-scale primary and secondary transportation operations, work with transport partners, and contribute directly to logistics cost optimization and supply chain efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and optimize secondary transportation operations.
- Lead freight rate negotiations with transporters through reverse auctions or one-to-one negotiations.
- Prepare, review and finalize annual freight contracts and agreements.
- Optimize route planning, vehicle utilization and load consolidation.
- Track transportation KPIs such as OTIF, TAT, vehicle fill rate and km/litre.
- Drive initiatives for transportation cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

- 710 years of experience in Transportation Management.
- Experience preferably in FMCG, Beverage or Food or Transportation industry.
- Strong experience in freight negotiation and transporter/vendor management.




- Good understanding of primary and secondary logistics.
- Hands-on experience with TMS, GPS tracking systems and MS Excel.
