Data Management & Governance (DMG) - Central Team

Role Summary

The Data Analyst will be responsible for translating the Groups data - spanning customer/stakeholder data (Teachers, Schools, Retailers, Distributors, Vendors, Partners) and factory operations data (production, dispatch, inventory, material movement) - into actionable business insights. The role owns dashboard and report development across CRM and ERP systems, surfacing coverage metrics, campaign engagement, operational efficiency, data health scores, and compliance status for SBU heads, plant leadership, and senior management.

The position works closely with the Data Management Lead, Governance Lead, Marketing Automation Lead, and SBU stakeholders to ensure data is structured, accurate, and presented in a way that drives decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Dashboard & Reporting

- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI / Looker Studio / equivalent BI tools) covering coverage metrics, campaign engagement, operational performance, data health, and compliance status across customer and factory datasets.
- Translate raw CRM, ERP, and factory operations data into business-ready KPI views for SBU heads, plant leadership, and senior management.
- Build and maintain a Master Dashboard consolidating departmental views into a single navigation hub for organisation-wide visibility.
- Apply DAX, Power Query, and data modelling best practices (star schema, row-level security) to ensure dashboards are scalable, secure, and performant.

Data Analysis & Insights

- Conduct customer/stakeholder segmentation analysis across Teachers, Schools, Retailers, Distributors, Vendors, and Partners to identify trends, inactivity, and engagement patterns; present findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Analyse factory operations data - production output, dispatch, material movement, and inventory - to identify inefficiencies, optimisation opportunities, and cost-saving areas (e.g. slow-moving stock, process bottlenecks, vendor price variations).
- Sanitise and centralise data from disparate CRM, ERP,



and factory systems into a single, governed source of truth - ensuring consistent definitions, eliminating duplicate/conflicting records, and enabling unified reporting across the organisation.
- Perform data cleansing, deduplication, and validation across CRM, ERP, and factory systems to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Conduct exploratory and variance analysis to flag anomalies, policy violations, or process gaps for resolution by the relevant function (Data Management Lead, Governance Lead, SBU teams, or plant operations).
- Support ad-hoc analytical requests from SBU heads, plant leadership, and senior management with quick-turnaround data pulls and visualisations.

Data Integration & ETL

- Build and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, cleanse, and load data from CRM, ERP, marketing automation, and factory operations systems into reporting tools.
- Maintain unique key mapping and data integration logic across systems to eliminate data silos and ensure a single source of truth for stakeholder data.
- Coordinate with the Data Management Lead on data quality rules, validity standards, and master data structure to ensure reporting reflects the governed data model.

Stakeholder Support & Coordination

- Gather reporting requirements from SBU heads, departmental teams, and leadership; translate business questions into dashboard and KPI specifications.
- Support the Marketing Automation Lead with campaign performance reporting and ROI analysis across WhatsApp, email, and SMS channels.
- Document dashboard logic, data definitions, and reporting SOPs to ensure consistency and ease of handover.
- Train SBU users on self-service dashboard usage where applicable.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Dashboard Coverage & Adoption:



Core KPI dashboards live and actively used by SBU heads and plant leadership; usage/adoption tracked monthly.
- Reporting Turnaround: Standard reports delivered on defined refresh cycles; ad-hoc analytical requests turned around within agreed SLA.
- Data Quality & Accuracy: Data health score maintained above target threshold across CRM, ERP, and factory datasets; duplicate/erroneous records identified and flagged for correction.
- Operational Insights Delivered: Number and impact of actionable insights surfaced (e.g. inventory optimisation, cost savings, process inefficiencies identified) and adopted by business/plant teams.
- Customer/Stakeholder Insights Delivered: Segmentation and engagement analyses delivered on schedule, with measurable follow-through on recommendations (e.g. re-engagement campaigns, coverage improvement).
- Automation Impact: Manual reporting effort reduced through automation of recurring reports/alerts, tracked as hours saved.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in any discipline; preference for Engineering, Statistics, Commerce, or Computer Applications
- MBA or equivalent specialisation in Business Analytics / Data Science is an advantage
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- Power BI / Power BI Developer
- SQL / MySQL
- Python for Data Analysis

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in:
- Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, RLS, Incremental Refresh)
- SQL / MySQL
- Google Looker Studio and/or other BI/analytics platforms
- Working knowledge of Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data analysis and automation
- Experience integrating and reporting on ERP/CRM and factory/production data (SAP SD/MM or equivalent)
- Robust understanding of KPI design, MIS reporting, and data storytelling for senior leadership audiences
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across SBUs and translate business requirements into reporting solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and detail
- Process orientation: ability to document SOPs and maintain reporting consistency at scale
