Position Purpose

The Business Technology Manager is a pivotal role, sitting at the intersection of business strategy, process innovation, and technology delivery. The role serves as the business-facing representative of the Digital team, responsible for discovering, designing, and delivering Digital, Automation, AI, and Agentic AI solutions that drive measurable business value across PI Industries’ operations.

Acting as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Technology Manager in one integrated capacity, the role bridges gaps between enterprise applications, automates business processes, and improves organisational productivity and decision-making. The incumbent will partner closely with internal business stakeholders across functions — including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D;, Finance, and Sales as well as external partners like Farmers, Retailers and Distributors — to translate business challenges into technology-enabled solutions leveraging cutting-edge Digital and AI capabilities.

The role requires end-to-end ownership of digital initiatives — from use case identification and requirements elicitation through architecture design, POC/pilot execution, and project delivery — ensuring solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned to PI Industries’ enterprise architecture and business objectives.

Strategic Responsibilities

- Engage proactively with business stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize Digital, Automation, AI, and Agentic AI opportunities with measurable business impact.
- Develop business cases and present recommendations to senior leadership for investment approval and prioritization.
- Design solution blueprints, process architectures, and data flow models aligned with business and enterprise architecture objectives.
- Define high-level functional and technical solution architectures in collaboration with technology teams.
- Establish integration strategies across enterprise systems such as SAP, MES, CRM, Data Platforms, and other core applications.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard technology vendors, system integrators, and solution partners; lead RFI/RFP processes and support commercial evaluations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, process owners,



and key stakeholders to drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to the Digital COE agenda by promoting innovation, sharing best practices, and fostering a digital-first culture across the organization.

Operational Responsibilities

- Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions.
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical specifications and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability.
- Lead execution of POCs, pilots, and digital projects from planning through deployment and hypercare.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
- Define and implement project governance mechanisms and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Coordinate with architects, developers, business users, and vendors throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Oversee testing activities, including SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and business sign-off.
- Manage stakeholder engagement throughout project execution to ensure alignment, adoption, and successful delivery of digital solutions.

Education Qualification

- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- MBA (Tech Management) preferred for leadership roles.

Work Experience

- 3–10 years of total qualified experience, with at least 3 years in a role combining Business Analysis, Project Management, and / or Technology Architecture responsibilities
- Proven experience in requirements elicitation, BRD / FRD documentation, and end-to-end delivery of digital or enterprise technology projects
- Hands-on exposure to Digital, RPA / Automation, AI / ML, or Agentic AI solution design and deployment will be a strong differentiator
- Experience working with enterprise application ecosystems (ERP, CRM, MES, Data Platforms) and managing integration requirements is highly desirable

Industry to be Hired from

Preferred: Agro-Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, CRDMO, or allied Manufacturing industries.



Candidates from IT consulting or technology services firms with significant client-side exposure in these sectors will also be considered. Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes (supply chain, plant operations, quality, regulatory compliance) and enterprise application landscapes in such industries is essential.

- Business Analysis: Requirements elicitation, BRD / FRD documentation, process mapping, use case and user story development, stakeholder workshops
- Project Management: End-to-end project planning and execution, risk management, scheduling, stakeholder reporting, and governance (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies)
- Solution / Technology Architecture: High-level functional and technical architecture design; integration architecture for ERP, CRM, MES, and data platforms; API and middleware concepts
- Digital & Emerging Technologies: Working knowledge of RPA, AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Low-code / No-code platforms, IoT, and Digital Twin concepts
- Vendor Management: RFP / RFI preparation, vendor evaluation, SoW and contract review, vendor performance tracking
- Enterprise Application Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP ERP, LIMS, DMS, CRM platforms, or manufacturing data systems; understanding of data flows and system interdependencies
