Job Summary:
Responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting Smart Factory systems integrating CNC machines, PLCs, industrial robots, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), machine vision, IoT, and robotic automation. The role involves integrating shop-floor machines and automation systems to improve manufacturing productivity, flexibility, quality, and real-time monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, program, and troubleshoot LMW CNC and VMC machines, including CNC machining processes, tooling, offsets, machine parameters, and basic CNC programming.
- Develop and troubleshoot automation systems using Siemens PLCs, including S7-1200/S7-1500, TIA Portal, HMI, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.
- Integrate and program industrial robots, including Delta articulated robots, for pick-and-place, assembly, material handling, sorting, and machine-tending applications.
- Work with DoBot robotic arms for educational, industrial automation, pick-and-place, vision-based and team-oriented robotic applications.
- Develop robotic applications using ROS/ROS2, including robot control, navigation, sensor integration, simulation, communication, and automation workflows.
- Configure and deploy Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for material movement, warehouse automation, machine tending, and intralogistics applications.
- Integrate CNC/VMC machines, PLCs, robots, AMRs, sensors, HMIs, and industrial networks into Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory environments.
- Develop communication between machines and automation systems using industrial protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and related interfaces.
- Implement IoT-based machine monitoring, production-data acquisition, OEE monitoring, predictive maintenance, and real-time dashboard systems.
- Support digital manufacturing, cyber-physical systems, IIoT, MES integration, digital twin, and smart production-line automation.
- Conduct machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Train students, technicians, operators, and engineers in CNC, PLC, robotics, AMRs, ROS, and Smart Factory technologies.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, laboratory exercises, project reports, machine manuals, and automation system documentation.
- Support R&D; projects involving robotics, autonomous systems, AI/ML, computer vision, IoT, and intelligent manufacturing.
Required Technical Skills:
- CNC: LMW CNC, VMC, G-code/M-code, machining operations, tooling and offsets
- PLC: Siemens S7-1200/S7-1500, TIA Portal, HMI, PLC troubleshooting
- Robotics: Delta articulated robots, DoBot robotic arms, industrial robot programming
- Autonomous Systems: AMRs, AGVs, autonomous navigation and fleet concepts
- ROS: ROS/ROS2, robot simulation, navigation, sensors, SLAM and integration
- Smart Factory: Industry 4.0, IIoT, MES, OEE, digital manufacturing and machine connectivity
- Industrial Communication: PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet-based industrial networks
- Sensors & Automation: Proximity, photoelectric, encoders, vision systems, pneumatic and servo systems
- Programming: Python/C++ and basic scripting for robotics and automation
- Integration: CNC–PLC–Robot–AMR–IoT integration and automated production-line development
Preferred Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, with practical Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 experience.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
