Role Summary

The consultant will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Master Planning, Demand Forecasting, and Supply Chain modules in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O;), with a strong preference for candidates having exposure to the Dairy, Food & Beverage, or Process Manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end implementation of D365 F&O; Master Planning, including Planning Optimization, MRP, MPS, coverage groups, and item coverage settings for process manufacturing environments.
- Configure and optimize Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning, and Distribution Planning to support perishable goods, shelf-life constraints, and batch/lot-controlled inventory typical of dairy and process industries.
- Design solutions across integrated modules Inventory, Production Control (Process Manufacturing), Procurement, Warehouse Management (WMS), and Sales & Marketing — ensuring seamless supply chain execution.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and translate them into functional design documents (FDDs), configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
- Implement formula/batch-based production, co-products and by-products, catch weight, potency management, and shelf-life planning relevant to dairy and process manufacturing.




- Drive Zero-Touch Purchasing and automated replenishment scenarios, leveraging planning parameters, vendor lead times, and safety stock strategies.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, Power Platform extensions, and AI/Copilot features to enhance planning accuracy and decision-making.
- Conduct CRP, UAT, key user training, and go-live support; troubleshoot planning run issues and optimize performance for large data volumes.
- Provide advisory on best practices, KPIs (forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, wastage reduction) and continuous improvement post go-live.
- Support pre-sales activities including client demos, POCs, effort estimation, and solution positioning for dairy and process industry prospects.

Preferred Experience

- 6–10 years of D365 F&O; / AX experience, with at least 2–3 full-cycle implementations in Master Planning and Supply Chain.
- Prior experience in Dairy, Food & Beverage, FMCG, Pharma, or Process Manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
- Microsoft certifications (MB-330, MB-320) are a plus.
- Robust understanding of Planning Optimization (cloud-based) vs. classic MRP.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for global client engagements (India, US, UK, Germany).
