Nadendla Constructions is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations across construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, organizing safety training, and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Workplace (HSE)

- Implement and enforce company HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, client requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Monitor daily site activities to identify and eliminate unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation and reports.

Safety Induction & Training

- Conduct safety induction programs for all new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Organize Toolbox Talks (TBT), safety awareness sessions, and emergency drills.
- Train workers on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Promote a positive safety culture across the project.

Risk Assessment & Permit System

- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA).
- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for critical activities.
- Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems for activities such as:
- Hot Work
- Height Work
- Confined Space Entry
- Excavation
- Electrical Isolation (LOTO)
- Lifting Operations

Incident Management

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.
- Prepare incident investigation reports with root cause analysis.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accident and incident records.

Site Safety Monitoring

- Ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel.
- Monitor scaffolding, excavation, lifting operations, formwork, and work-at-height activities.
- Inspect fire extinguishers, first-aid boxes,



emergency exits, and evacuation routes.
- Coordinate emergency response and rescue procedures.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain statutory safety records and registers.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
- Maintain inspection records, training records, PTW registers, and compliance documentation.
- Support client, consultant, and statutory safety audits.

Coordination

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and Subcontractors regarding safety compliance.
- Attend client HSE meetings and submit required reports.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with company and client safety requirements.

Qualifications

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in any discipline
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualification.
- 38 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction, industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
