Role : Data Analyst

Reporting to: Managing Director

Location : Chennai

The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to support business decisions across functions such as sales, operations, service, finance, and manufacturing. He/she will support the sales management by ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks, maintaining accurate record with analytical support, and coordinating between departments The role involves developing dashboards, identifying trends, ensuring data quality, and delivering actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and business performance. This role ensures that the sales team is equipped with accurate data, streamlined processes, and actionable insights to achieve ambitious growth targets. The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership to align sales operations with business objectives, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales, service, manufacturing, inventory, procurement, and financial data to support business decisions.

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI reports, and management MIS reports.

• Extract, clean, transform, and validate data from SAP ERP and other business systems.

• Support implementation of digital tools (CRM, ERP, reporting dashboards).

• Maintain and update customer records in CRM systems.

• Create automated reporting solutions for management and operational teams.

• Support business users with ad hoc data analysis and performance reporting.

• Identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities using statistical and business analysis techniques.

• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Service, and Supply Chain teams to understand reporting requirements.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards across reports and dashboards.

• Provide data-driven insights into sales performance, customer trends, and pipeline health.





• Support Sales Managers with forecasting, territory analysis, and pricing intelligence.

• Track sales performance against targets and highlight variances.

• Act as a secondary contact for setting up actions for high-value customers on administrative matters.

• Monitor customer experience metrics and escalate recurring issues to management.

• Streamline administrative workflows to improve efficiency.

• Support implementation of digital tools (CRM, ERP, reporting dashboards).

• Contribute to improving customer experience through faster response times and accurate information.

• Present insights and recommendations to management for data-driven decision making.

Technical Competencies Required

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools

• Power BI (DAX, Data Modeling, Dashboard Development)

• Advanced Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, VBA preferred)

• SAP ERP reporting and data extraction

• Data cleansing, ETL, and data validation

• Statistical analysis and KPI reporting

• ERP-driven business processes Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts

• Knowledge of manufacturing analytics and operational metrics. (preferred, not mandatory)

• Strong knowledge of CRM and ERP systems (SAP, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Education

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field Experience
