1. Perform comprehensive electrical design activities, including design calculations, preparation of drawings, bill of materials (BOM), schematics, and detailed technical instructions for manufacturing for Medium Voltage Air core reactors.
2. Study, design, and implement best manufacturing practices to enhance the reactor quality and reliability.
3. Coordinate with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers to ensure seamless development and manufacturing of new products.
4. To prepare the 2D/3D model and conduct the electromagnetic and electrostatic analysis of new product / for changes in existing design.
5. Identify, address, and document corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve product reliability and process robustness.
6. Conduct product validation through inhouse type testing or thirdparty laboratory testing to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
7. Prepare technical specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for current product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Competencies
1.
Electromagnetic & Electrical design
- knowledge of inductance and loss calculations, magnetic field mapping and insulation coordination.
- Knowledge of calculating winding resistance, inductance, skin / proximity effects and eddy current losses in Aluminum or Copper conductors.
- Knowledge of design calculations for winding; turn to turn and layer to layer insulation systems, resin impregnation and curing process
2. Mechanical & Structural Engineering
- Knowledge of Short-circuit force modelling
- Knowledge of support & mounting structure design
- Knowledge of thermal design
3. Through knowledge of reactor routine and type testing complying to latest IS / IEC standard.
4. Ability to calculate raw material costs during the design phase for costoptimized product
Skills :
Proficiency in FEA tools such as Ansys, Maxwell, Solid works for 3D modelling, knowledge of dry type insulation material and class F & H epoxy components.
