The Substation Design Engineers is responsible for leading and managing the electrical engineering design function for substation and power distribution projects. This includes overseeing the preparation, review, and approval of designs for HV, MV, and LV systems in compliance with applicable standards,



utility/Private customer/Consultant’s specifications, and project requirements. The role ensures the timely and efficient execution of engineering deliverables while optimizing resources, maintaining quality, and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Design Management:
 Lead and co-ordinate the design of AIS/GIS substations (11kV–400kV) switchyards, and distribution systems.
 Manage preparation of SLDs, layout drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, earthing
and lighting designs, cable schedules, and BOQs.
 Ensure design compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, and utility/customer-specific standards.
 Review and approve design deliverables including vendor documents.
 Support in preparation of technical bid documents such detailed BOM, Tender SLD &
Layout, GTPs, Deviations & Clarifications, and design-related clarifications for tenders.
 Attend FAT / SAT of primary / secondary equipment system as and when n
