Job Description

Position Title: Polisher

1. Purpose of the Role

To ensure smooth production flow by executing high-quality polishing of all types of jewelry items, maintaining required shine, finish, and quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Quality & Production

- Understand and follow customer quality standards for polishing across all jewelry categories.

- Perform polishing on all types of jewelry, ensuring proper shine, luster, and aesthetic finish.

- Avoid over-polishing; maintain correct pressure and technique during polishing and finishing processes.

- Monitor and control gross loss during the polishing process.

- Ensure First Time Acceptance (FTA) and meet defined productivity targets.

Process & Inspection

- Re-check polished pieces to ensure high-quality finishing before moving them to the next stage.

- Identify potential issues in advance, take corrective action, and inform the superior where required.

Health & Safety

- Ensure safe working conditions by following all safety norms and guidelines provided by seniors.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

- Ability to polish 50 or more pieces per day across various jewelry types.





- Deliver high-quality polish and finish with minimum rework or rejection.

- Maintain consistent productivity and meet FTA targets.

4. Competencies Required

- Knowledge of polishing techniques for various jewelry designs, shine levels, and luster requirements.

- Understanding of cloth buffs, synthetic wire brushes, cutting compounds, and polishing compounds for rough and fine polishing.

- Solid sense of attention to detail and finishing standards.

5. Role Specifications

Qualification

- Any educational qualification.

- Diploma in Jewelry Designing or relevant experience preferred.

Techno-Functional Skills

- Basic understanding of jewelry shapes and design elements.

- Proficient in using polishing tools and machinery.

Experience

- 4 to 9 years of experience in jewelry polishing.

CTC Bracket

- ?2,50,000 to ?3,50,000 per annum

Industry

- Jewelry Manufacturing

Other Requirements

- Strong hands-on experience in jewelry polishing processes.

- Ability to maintain quality while achieving daily productivity targets.
