Job Summary

The Senior Engineer – Transportation Design is responsible for preparing schematic and detailed designs for transportation infrastructure projects, based on concept designs developed by the Section Manager and Senior Project Engineer. The role involves working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare schematic and detailed transportation designs including roads, highways, and interchanges.
- Develop scope of works and design criteria in line with project requirements.
- Design road alignments (plans and profiles) and ensure horizontal and vertical geometry compliance.
- Design junctions and intersections including roundabouts, priority junctions, and signalized junctions.
- Prepare concept and detailed designs for interchanges.
- Develop site grading plans, road cross-sections, and calculate earthwork quantities.
- Perform pavement design and prepare associated technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with local authority guidelines, engineering standards,



and codes of practice.
- Apply QA/QC procedures to ensure accuracy, coordination, and quality of design deliverables.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (designers, CAD operators, and engineers).
- Review and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in material selection and specification development.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and progress reports.
- Support project delivery timelines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Specialization in Transportation Engineering is preferred.

Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in transportation/road design projects.
- Solid expertise in:
- Road and highway design
- Junction/intersection design
- Pavement design principles
- Earthworks and grading
- Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Civ
