Job Summary :
We are seeking an accomplished Vice President Product Engineering (Client Success, DevOps &
- QA) to provide strategic and technical leadership across Product Engineering, Client Success, DevOps, Quality Assurance, and Engineering Operations.
The ideal candidate will have 14-20 years of experience in designing and developing scalable, distributed, and multi-tenant enterprise applications, combined with strong expertise in Java, cloud platforms, microservices, DevOps, QA, and large-scale engineering leadership.
This role will be responsible for driving product engineering strategy, client success, engineering excellence, quality, DevOps transformation, operational efficiency, and large-scale technology delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
1.
Product Engineering Leadership :
- Define and execute the overall Product Engineering strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the design and development of highly scalable, distributed, and multi-tenant enterprise products.
- Drive engineering excellence across architecture, development, testing, deployment, reliability, and operations.
- Ensure products are scalable, secure, reliable, performant, and aligned with customer expectations.
- Drive modernization and adoption of cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.
- Establish engineering standards, coding best practices, architecture principles, and development methodologies.

Success &
- Product Delivery :
- Partner closely with Client Success, Product Management, Sales, and Business leadership to ensure successful customer outcomes.
- Translate customer requirements, product feedback, and business priorities into engineering roadmaps.
- Establish mechanisms to improve product adoption, reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive timely resolution of critical customer-impacting technical issues.
- Provide executive-level technical engagement for strategic clients when required.
- Build a strong feedback loop between customers, Client Success, Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure engineering priorities are aligned with customer commitments and business objectives.

- People Leadership :
- Build, hire, lead, mentor, and retain a large, high-performing engineering organization.
- Lead Engineering Managers, Architects, Technical Leads, DevOps leaders, and QA leadership.
- Establish clear organizational structures, responsibilities, goals, and performance expectations.
- Develop leadership capabilities and succession plans across the engineering organization.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Drive talent development, workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
4. Cloud &
- Architecture :
- Lead development and evolution of cloud products using :
- AWS
- GCP
- Java / Java-based technologies
- Microservices
- Distributed systems
- Ensure architectures support multi-tenancy, scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, security, and performance.
- Drive cloud adoption, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and determine their applicability to the product roadmap.
5. DevOps &
- Engineering Operations :
- Define and execute the organization's DevOps and engineering operations strategy.
- Streamline development, testing, deployment, and release processes to enable frequent and reliable deployments.
- Drive automation across CI/CD, infrastructure, testing, monitoring, and operational processes.

- Engineering Quality :
- Establish the overall Quality Engineering / QA strategy across the product lifecycle.
- Build a culture of quality-by-design and shift-left testing.
- Drive automation across functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and API testing.
- Establish quality KPIs and continuously improve defect prevention and resolution.
- Ensure appropriate test coverage and release quality across products and platforms.
- Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish processes for production quality monitoring and continuous improvement.
7. Engineering KPIs &
- Operational Excellence :
- Define and monitor engineering KPIs covering :
- Deployment frequency
- Lead time for changes
- Release quality
- Defect rates
- Test automation coverage
- Production incidents
- Mean time to recovery
- Application availability
- Engineering productivity
- Customer-impacting issues
- Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and improve engineering performance.
- Establish continuous improvement initiatives across Product Engineering, DevOps, QA, and Client Success.
8. Data &
- Distributed Systems :
- Lead engineering initiatives involving high-volume data environments.
- Experience with technologies such as :
- MySQL
- MongoDB
- Elasticsearch
- Redis
- Drive database performance, scalability, indexing, caching, availability, and optimization.
- Ensure appropriate technology selection for high-volume and distributed application workloads.
9. Program &
- Project Management :
- Drive large-scale product engineering programs from strategy and planning through execution and delivery.
- Establish priorities, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, and delivery metrics.
- Identify and mitigate technical, operational, quality, and delivery risks.
- Ensure projects and engineering initiatives remain aligned with business and customer objectives.
- Drive effective Agile SDLC practices across the organization.
10. Executive &
- Stakeholder Leadership :
- Work closely with the CEO, CTO, Product leadership, Client Success, Sales, and other senior stakeholders.
- Communicate technology strategy, engineering performance, risks, and delivery status to executive leadership.
- Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making in complex and high-pressure situations.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on business outcomes and customer commitments.
- Build strong collaboration across geographically distributed teams and functions.
Mandatory Skills &
Experience :
- 14-20 years of relevant IT / Software Engineering experience.
- Significant experience in Product Engineering / Engineering Leadership roles.
- Proven experience designing and developing scalable, distributed, multi-tenant enterprise applications.
- Strong experience building and managing large engineering organizations.
- Strong expertise in Java and Java-related technologies.
- Strong experience with AWS and GCP.
- Extensive experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native engineering.
- Strong experience with Quality Engineering / QA strategy and automation.
- Experience with high-volume data stores including MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Strong understanding of engineering KPIs, software quality, delivery metrics, and operational excellence.
- Proven experience driving large-scale product and technology programs.
- Deep understanding of Agile SDLC.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, judgment, and decision-making skills.

Education : Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
