KDB+/Q Developers work closely with researchers and traders to design, implement, test and maintain Axi's service-oriented kdb+ architecture. The role is responsible for building robust, scalable infrastructure that exposes real-time and historical data to users globally.
This role will own key parts of the production infrastructure and acts as Level 2+ support for critical services during trading hours,
requiring both strong technical capability and sound judgement under pressure.
Your EDGE Assignment/You Will
Design & Development
- Design and build modules, new functionalities and features within the kdb+ ecosystem, contributing to architectural decisions and technical design reviews.
- Develop post-trade analytics, real-time data pipelines and reporting solutions to meet the latency and accuracy requirements of trading and research teams.
- Build tooling to monitor system health, data quality and query performance.
Performance & Optimisation
- Profile and optimise kdb+ queries and data models to maintain quick query execution as data volumes grow.
- Identify and implement solutions to address performance bottlenecks across storage, in-memory processing and inter-process communication
Production Support
- Provide Level 2+ support for critical services during trading hours, ensuring rapid diagnosis and resolution of incide
