S2 — Senior Lead Designer

The site commander — owning complex projects end-to-end from specialist drawings to final handover.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Senior Lead Designer is responsible for the complete end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including specialist technical drawings, project scheduling, site leadership, and vendor coordination. You handle the most complex drawing categories — automation, home theatre, staircases, and water features — and you are the single accountable person for your site's progress, quality, and timeline.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Prepare specialist drawings: automation, air purifier, staircase, water feature, home theatre
- Lead market research and vendor research for specialised product categories
- Build and own project timelines and production schedules across all disciplines
- Lead full site operations — coordinating civil, carpentry, MEP, finishing, and styling simultaneously




- Own client communication for all project phases from design to handover
- Conduct site styling for project completion and photography
- Mentor and review the work of S1 and below on assigned projects
- Escalate design or site issues to principal with transparent context and recommended resolution

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 7–10 years in an interior design studio, with at least 3 years leading projects end-to-end
- Experience with specialist systems: home automation, home theatre, or water features preferred
- Ability to build and manage a project timeline across multiple contractors
- Strong vendor network and market knowledge in Kolkata
- Confident leader — comfortable owning decisions on site under pressure

COMPENSATION

As per studio S2 band. Salary is discussed during the interview process and is commensurate with experience and skill level demonstrated.
