Role Description The Student Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based at IPA’s campus in New Delhi. The role involves guiding prospective and current students on course options, admission procedures, and academic pathways, and providing career counseling aligned with the fields of accounts, finance, banking, and taxation. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, responding to student inquiries, maintaining accurate counseling records, and collaborating with faculty and administration to support student success.
The Student
Counselor also assists with orientation activities, helps resolve student concerns professionally,
and contributes to outreach and information sessions to promote IPA’s programs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills, with the ability to guide learners on academic and professional pathways.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and presentation abilities.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to manage student interactions, handle queries, and resolve concerns in a professional manner.
- Candidates should possess a background or robust interest in Education, particularly in accounts, finance, banking, or taxation-related programs.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in educational institutions, familiarity with counseling tools or CRM systems, strong organizational and time-management skills, and proficiency in basic computer applications.
- A bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Business, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in student or career counseling are an advantage.
