OB TITLE: Structural Design Engineer – Modular & Prefabricated Pods

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Engineer with expertise in prefabricated modular design and light-gauge steel/metal framing. You will be responsible for structural calculations, 3D modeling, detailed drafting, load testing, and optimizing structural stability for manufacturing, lifting, transport, and site installation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and analyze structural frameworks for modular pods, acoustic conference cabins, washroom modules, security cabins, and pre-engineered structures.
- Perform comprehensive load calculations including dead load, live load, wind load, transport dynamics, and crane lifting/rigging stresses.
- Prepare detailed 2D/3D fabrication drawings, structural connection details, cutting lists, and BOM (Bill of Materials).




- Select suitable structural materials (Light Gauge Steel - LGS, RHS/SHS hollow sections, aluminum extrusions, sheet metal, and composite panel integrations).
- Coordinate directly with the factory shop-floor production team to ensure seamless assembly, tolerance management, and structural quality compliance.
- Optimize structural designs for weight reduction, cost-efficiency, and modular scalability without compromising safety standards.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (M.Tech preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on structural design experience in Modular Buildings, Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF), Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), or Container Modifications.
- Software Proficiency: High fluency in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or Revit.
- Expertise in cold-formed steel section design, structural connections (bolted, welded, riveted), and transport dynamics.
- Robust understanding of relevant structural design codes (IS 800, IS 801 / AISI for cold-formed steel).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
