Job Responsibilities

- A "Store Executive" at a project site is primarily responsible for managing the inventory of construction materials at the site, ensuring proper storage, issuing materials to workers as needed, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing the overall smooth operation of the site store, adhering to safety regulations and project requirements.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Verifying Materials:
- Receive deliveries of construction materials at the site, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Inspect materials for damage or defects upon receipt and report any discrepancies to the concerned department.
- Storage and Organization:
- Properly store materials in designated storage areas based on type, size, and usage, ensuring proper labeling and rotation of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized site store, ensuring proper aisle access and safety measures.
- Issuing Materials:
- Process material requisition requests from project teams, verifying the required quantity and issuing materials as per approved procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of all material issued, including date, quantity, project code,



and recipient details.
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular physical stock checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders for necessary materials to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials, including relevant documentation like GRNs, delivery challans, and material issue slips.
- Generate periodic inventory reports, consumption reports, and other required reports as per project needs.
- Waste Management:
- Identify and manage surplus or scrap materials, following proper disposal procedures.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations within the site store, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a protected working environment in the store area.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Store Keeper or similar role in a construction project.
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of construction materials, their specifications, and proper storage methods.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and record keeping practices.
- Familiarity with relevant safety procedures for construction sites.
