An Injection Moulding Tool Room and Current Product Development (NPD) Manager leads tool design, mold manufacturing, tool maintenance, and end-to-end product realization from initial concept, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and prototyping to production handover, ensuring timelines, quality, and cost targets are met.

Key ResponsibilitiesNew Product Development (NPD)
Drive feasibility studies, technical reviews, and DFM analysis for new plastic parts.
Manage APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP processes for customer approvals.
Coordinate cross-functional teams from design concept to tool trials (T0, T1, T2) and sample sign-offs.
Track project timelines, cost changes, and milestone updates for management and clients.

Tool Room & Mold Management
Oversee tool room operations, CNC machining, EDM, wire cut, and assembly shop floor priorities.
Implement preventative and breakdown maintenance schedules for all existing production molds.
Troubleshoot complex molding and tooling issues on the shop floor to reduce downtime.
Evaluate tool suppliers, review external mold designs,



and manage tool modifications or design corrections.

Quality & Continuous Improvement
Ensure molded parts match 2D/3D component drawings and critical dimensions.
Drive root-cause problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa) for tool and quality failures.
Implement 5S, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing principles in the tool room.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering (or Diploma in Tool & Die Making).
Experience: 8 to 15 years in a plastic injection moulding setting, with hands-on exposure to tool design, tool manufacturing, and NPD.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM/CAE software (UG/NX, CATIA, Pro-E, or AutoCAD) and Moldflow analysis.
Core Knowledge: Robust expertise in hot runner systems, mold steels, plastic materials, and injection process parameters

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
