Role Description The Signage and Wayfinding Designer is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The designer is responsible for translating client requirements into effective signage and wayfinding systems, from concept sketches and layout planning to final production files. Day-to-day tasks include researching site conditions, developing visual hierarchies and information architecture, creating design mockups, selecting materials and finishes, and preparing technical specifications for fabrication.

The role also involves coordinating with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure designs are accurately produced and implemented, while maintaining brand consistency and meeting safety, accessibility, and regulatory standards. The designer will participate in client meetings, present design concepts, and refine solutions based on feedback,



ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in environmental graphics, signage design, and wayfinding systems, including layout planning and information hierarchy.
- Proficiency in design and production software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, CAD tools, or similar) for creating accurate artwork and technical drawings.
- Understanding of materials, fabrication processes, mounting methods, and finishes commonly used in interior and exterior signage.
- Ability to conduct site visits, interpret architectural plans, and develop context-appropriate wayfinding solutions for complex environments.
- Strong visual communication skills, including typography, color theory, and brand implementation across physical signage applications.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with clients, vendors, installers, and internal teams; ability to present and justify design decisions clearly.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects, timelines, and revisions while maintaining quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines, safety standards, and local regulations related to signage and wayfinding is highly beneficial.
- Experience in retail, corporate, hospitality, healthcare, or public-space wayfinding projects is a plus.
