Role Purpose

To lead and execute mechanical erection, installation, alignment, commissioning, and project execution activities for Pellet Plant projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, safety requirements, and budgetary targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute mechanical erection and commissioning activities for Pellet Plant equipment in accordance with project schedules.
- Supervise installation, assembly, alignment, testing, and commissioning of rotary and static equipment.
- Coordinate erection activities for ball mills, grinding mills, disc pelletizers, bucket elevators, belt conveyors, bag filters, ESP fans, cyclones, blowers, chutes, ducting, and associated material handling systems.
- Review engineering drawings, P&IDs;, GA drawings, and construction documents to plan execution activities.
- Identify engineering issues during execution and coordinate design modifications through technical queries and engineering change requests.
- Prepare BOQs, monitor material availability, and coordinate with procurement and stores for timely project execution.
- Plan manpower deployment, supervise contractors, and monitor daily site progress to ensure milestone achievement.
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process teams for seamless project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work systems, quality procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor equipment alignment, installation tolerances, and commissioning parameters to achieve desired performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and participate in project review meetings with stakeholders.
- Support shutdown planning, equipment replacement, and brownfield project execution wherever required.




- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and construction equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting during commissioning and facilitate successful plant handover to operations.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

- 10–12 years of experience in mechanical project execution within Pellet Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, or other heavy industrial projects.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical erection, equipment alignment, commissioning, and shutdown execution.
- Exposure to greenfield and brownfield project execution.
