Position: OT Technician

Department: Operation Theatre

Location: Medical College & Hospital

Job Purpose:

To assist the surgical team in ensuring secure, efficient, and hygienic operation theatre services while maintaining all required clinical and infection-control standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the OT, instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff during surgeries.
Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and handling of surgical instruments.
Maintain OT readiness, cleanliness, and adherence to infection-control protocols.
Check availability and functionality of OT equipment and report any defects promptly.
Assist with patient positioning, shifting, and preparation as required.
Maintain accurate records of OT procedures, consumables, and instrument counts.
Follow surgical safety checklist, biomedical waste management, and other OT SOPs.




Coordinate with CSSD, Nursing, Housekeeping, and other departments for smooth OT functioning.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and replenishment of OT supplies.
Maintain qualified, courteous, and cooperative behaviour with patients and staff.

Qualification: Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Experience:

1+ years of relevant experience in a hospital/medical college preferred.

Key Competencies:

Technical knowledge of OT procedures, infection control, sterilization practices, attention to detail, teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Pay: ₹19,800.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
