We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Senior Tekla Modeler in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the structural steel detailing and engineering sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. Key Responsibilities
Lead Tekla modeling activities from drawing study through IFA/IFC deliverables.
Develop accurate and complex structural and miscellaneous steel models.
Generate pre-modeling and post-modeling RFIs to resolve technical and design-related issues.
Ensure models satisfy fabrication, erection, shipping, and logistics requirements.
Configure project-specific connections, numbering systems, and drawing extraction requirements.
Track submitted areas, model revisions, and numbering status throughout project execution.
Coordinate closely with Team Leads and Checkers to maintain modeling quality and constructability.
Support task planning, effort estimation, and mentoring of junior modelers.

Required Skills
Tekla Structures: Solid hands-on capability in developing complex steel models.
Australian Steel Detailing:



Minimum 2 years of experience working on Australian steel detailing projects.
Steel Connections: Robust expertise in modeling complex structural connections.
Fabrication & Erection: Excellent understanding of steel fabrication and erection workflows.
Technical Coordination: Ability to manage RFIs, revisions, numbering, drawing extraction, and constructability requirements.

Preferred Skills
Experience mentoring junior Tekla modelers.
Solid knowledge of shipping and logistics considerations in steel detailing.
Advanced model coordination and troubleshooting capability.

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates must have 4–8+ years of hands-on Tekla modeling experience, including a minimum of 2 years on Australian steel detailing projects. Experience should include complex structural and miscellaneous steel systems and exposure to fabrication and erection workflows.

Education

Minimum: Typical — Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline Preferred: Typical — Relevant structural/steel detailing training

Additional: Tekla Structures certification/training is advantageous (typical)
