Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Manager

Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across the Kolkata territory by managing distributors, retailers, and the field sales team. The role involves achieving sales targets, expanding market coverage, ensuring effective execution of sales strategies, and building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Lead, guide, and motivate the sales team to improve productivity and performance.
Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, and key retail accounts.
Identify recent business opportunities and expand market presence within Kolkata.
Ensure product availability, visibility, and effective merchandising in the market.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.
Conduct regular market visits with team members to review performance and provide coaching.
Review sales performance,



prepare reports, and submit updates as required.
Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy distributor operations.
Implement company sales policies, schemes, and promotional activities.

Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
4–7 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Personal Care products.
Minimum 2 years of experience in handling a sales team.

Skills Required
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Positive communication and negotiation abilities.
Knowledge of the Kolkata market and distribution network.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
