Position: Operations Manager Freight Forwarding
Department: Operations / Logistics

Reports To: Director

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Shipment Execution: Manage daily import and export operations across air, ocean (FCL/LCL), and domestic transport from booking to final delivery.
Compliance & Documentation: Oversee critical shipping and customs paperwork, ensuring full adherence to local and international trade regulations (Bills of Lading, Bill of Entry, Shipping Bills, E-Sanchit, and customs portals).
Carrier & Vendor Management: Negotiate competitive freight rates, service contracts, and space allocations with shipping lines, airlines, and local transporters.
Stakeholder Coordination:



Maintain smooth communication with overseas agents, customs brokers (CHAs), port authorities, and terminal operators to prevent clearance bottlenecks.
Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise operations coordinators and documentation specialists, tracking daily performance KPIs.
Problem Solving & Escalations: Proactively manage service disruptions, routing changes, carrier delays, and client escalations.
Process Optimization: Refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to boost productivity, minimize error rates, and improve profit margins per shipment.
