Once a signed residential project is assigned to you by our Sales Leadership team, you become the primary design owner of that project from brief through handover.

You will lead the design, work directly with the client, develop the design solution, coordinate with production and execution teams, resolve design challenges and remain accountable for maintaining the design intent throughout execution.

You get the autonomy to design.

What Makes This Role Different?

This is not a role where you simply prepare drawings and hand the project to another team.

You will have meaningful ownership across the complete design journey:

Project Assignment -> Client Brief -> Concept -> Design Development -> Presentation -> Design Finalisation -> BOQ Coordination -> Production Coordination -> Site Execution -> Handover

Our Sales Leadership team brings in and closes the business.

Once the project is assigned to you, you take ownership of the design journey.

You will be the key design interface for the client and will have the authority to make design recommendations, develop concepts and drive the project forward within the agreed commercial and project framework.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Residential Interior Design

Design premium residential apartments, villas and turnkey homes based on individual client requirements.

Develop

- Space plans and furniture layouts
- Design concepts and mood boards
- Material and finish palettes
- 3D visualisations
- Detailed working drawings
- Modular kitchen designs
- Wardrobe designs
- Furniture concepts
- Lighting and décor concepts

Your objective is not simply to create attractive spaces. It is to create homes that are functional, personalised, aesthetically strong and commercially executable.
1. Client Consultation and Presentation

Meet homeowners and understand their:
- Lifestyle
- Functional requirements
- Family needs
- Aesthetic preferences
- Storage requirements
- Budget expectations
- Design aspirations

Translate the brief into a compelling design concept. Present your ideas confidently, explain your recommendations, manage feedback and guide clients toward informed design decisions.

You should be comfortable being the design expert in front of the client.

1. End-to-End Project Ownership

Once a project is assigned to you, you will remain actively involved through handover.

You will coordinate with

- Sales Leadership
- Project Managers
- Site Engineers
- Installation Teams
- Vendors
- Production Teams
- In-house Manufacturing

You will conduct site visits, identify design-related execution issues and work with the relevant teams to resolve them. You are expected to protect the design intent from concept to completion.
1. BOQ and Commercial Coordination

You should have a practical understanding of:
- BOQs
- Materials and finishes
- Modular furniture
- Kitchen and wardrobe specifications
- Pricing implications
- Scope changes
- Design feasibility
- Execution requirements

You don't need to be a commercial manager. But you should understand how design decisions affect cost, scope, timelines and execution.

1. Execution Coordination

Great design only matters when it can be executed correctly.



You will coordinate with the project and installation teams to ensure that your approved design is translated accurately on site.

Where challenges arise, you will be expected to find practical design solutions rather than simply escalate problems.

FABDIZ Production and Execution Ecosystem

FABDIZ has a centralised in-house modular manufacturing facility in Bangalore supporting its modular production requirements.

For Kolkata projects, modular components are supported through the centralised production ecosystem, while our Kolkata-based installation and execution teams manage groundwork and complete installation at site.

This gives designers an integrated ecosystem connecting:

Design -> Production -> Installation -> Handover

You are therefore able to focus on designing better homes while working with established production and execution capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can operate with maturity, creativity and independence.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of a project rather than waiting for instructions at every stage.

Required Experience

- 3+ years of relevant experience in Residential Interior Design
- Strong experience in turnkey residential interior projects
- Experience managing projects from design development through execution
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape
- Good understanding of modular kitchens and wardrobes
- Working knowledge of BOQs, materials and interior execution
- Strong site coordination capability
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating original thinking and residential projects
