Role & responsibilities
Operate and monitor VMC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings.
Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces for machining operations.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Perform machine offsets and basic program edits when required.
Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
Replace worn cutting tools and maintain proper tool inventory.
Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
Maintain records of production, inspection, and machine performance.
Follow workplace safety procedures and 5S standards.
Report machine faults or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
