Role Description The Resident Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at BAGO Retreats in Kollam. This role oversees daily resort operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage coordination, and maintenance follow-up to ensure a high standard of comfort and safety.

The Resident

Manager manages staff schedules, supervises performance, and supports training to maintain consistent service quality. They handle guest inquiries and feedback, coordinate destination wedding and event logistics, and work closely with ownership on occupancy, budgeting, and vendor relationships. The role also involves monitoring property conditions, implementing operational procedures, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong hospitality operations skills,



including experience managing guest services, front office procedures, and day-to-day resort activities.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and foster a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- Candidates should possess event and destination wedding coordination skills, including vendor liaison, timeline planning, and on-site execution.
- Candidates should possess communication and customer service skills to address guest needs, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships with partners and suppliers.
- Candidates should possess organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should possess basic financial and administrative skills, such as handling reports, monitoring budgets, and overseeing inventory and procurement processes.
- Relevant experience in resort, hotel, or retreat management is strongly preferred; prior work in weddings, events, or leisure tourism is an advantage.
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business, or a related field is beneficial, along with proficiency in standard office and hotel management software.
