Role Description The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing treatment plans, and documenting patient information accurately.
Responsibilities include conducting regular health assessments, assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals, responding to emergencies, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and infection control standards. The nurse will educate residents and families on health conditions and care plans, support activities of daily living, and collaborate closely with caregivers and support staff to maintain a safe and respectful environment. This is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru, requiring direct,
hands-on patient care and active participation in multidisciplinary care meetings.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) and current registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Clinical skills in medication administration, wound care, monitoring vital signs, and managing chronic conditions common in geriatric populations.
- Experience or strong interest in geriatric care, long-term care, or hospice/palliative settings, with an understanding of age-related health needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a respectful and empathetic manner.
- Ability to work in a structured on-site environment, manage multiple patients, maintain accurate records, and follow established protocols and safety procedures.
- Capacity to respond calmly to emergencies, make sound clinical decisions, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic medical records and documentation; familiarity with hospital or care-home management systems is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a nursing home, senior care facility, or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
