Position Overview

We are looking for a Production Engineer – Press Shop with 4 to 6 years of experience in the Automotive Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved, optimizing machine utilization, improving productivity, and maintaining quality, safety, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, monitor, and execute daily production activities to achieve production targets as per the production plan.
- Ensure timely recovery of production backlogs through effective planning, resource allocation, and manpower management.
- Coordinate with PPC to ensure smooth production flow and on-time delivery of customer requirements.
- Supervise press shop operations, ensuring optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
- Perform and monitor die setting , die changeovers, and machine setup to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department for preventive maintenance and quick resolution of machine breakdowns.
- Monitor production KPIs such as productivity, rejection, downtime, OEE,



and machine efficiency, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, SOPs, and customer requirements during production.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, rejection reports, and daily production MIS.
- Ensure implementation of 5S, TPM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing , and safety practices on the shop floor.
- Lead, train, motivate, and supervise operators and shop-floor workers to improve performance and productivity.
- Coordinate with Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance, Purchase, and Stores departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce cycle time, increase productivity, and minimize production losses.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Production within the Automotive Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry .
- Solid knowledge of press shop operations, production planning, die setting, and manufacturing processes.
