About the Role
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist with hands-on experience in US payroll processing. The ideal candidate should have experience managing end-to-end payroll operations, payroll compliance, employee records, statutory deductions, payroll reconciliations, and payroll reporting while ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for US-based clients/entities.
- Process payroll accurately in accordance with payroll calendars and applicable statutory requirements.
- Validate employee master data, timesheets, leave records, and payroll inputs.
- Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
- Process new hires, employee changes, terminations, and final settlements.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and investigate payroll discrepancies.
- Support payroll-related journal entries and month-end reconciliation activities.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, employees, and clients to resolve payroll-related queries.
- Prepare payroll reports and statutory reports as required.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
Key Software Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- ADP
- Gusto
Experience with other US payroll, HRMS, or payroll processing platforms will also be considered. Payroll & Compliance Knowledge

Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in US Payroll, Payroll Operations, or Global Payroll.
- Hands-on experience processing US multi-state payroll is preferred.
- Strong understanding of US payroll processing, payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Robust proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
