About Outline India

Outline India is a research and data organization. We collect intelligence from the grassroots — running field surveys, impact evaluations, and policy research across India and South Asia, working with clients like the World Bank, UNICEF, Mastercard, and GSMA. We're a growing team that operates at scale: designing studies, deploying field teams, and turning ground-level data into analysis that informs decisions at the highest levels.

Role Overview

This role is for someone who can effortlessly navigate within the internal and external process workflow and develop a systematic approach within multiple departments. The individual will closely work with the Founder for day-to-day reporting and ensure coordination with the field at Pan-India basis in terms of vendor management, reporting, and scaling the internal & external team.

Overall

- Streamline work across operations and finance/admin, HR and field deployments to optimise on time and efficiency for the founder and team
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and implement process improvements
- Monitor prioritisation, workflow efficiency and ensure timely execution of tasks

Key Responsibilities will be split across

I. Operations and finance/admin

1. Partner with operations teams to optimize and streamline processes for improved efficiency
2.



Support contracting processes and ensure smooth execution of agreements
3. Manage office operations, vendors, and facility management
4. Coordinate with accounts team for invoicing, payments, and compliance

II. HR

1. Collaborate with HR to scale team capacity and design incentive structures and team activities
2. Oversee recruitment coordination and onboarding processes
3. Monitor maintenance of employee records and documentation
4. Support performance management systems and HR processes
5. Know what is going on in the team

III. Field deployments and vendor coordination

1. Manage and oversee field operations and vendor relationships
2. Build field Scope of work and contracts and smooth field operations
3. Solid coordination and stakeholder management skills
4. Field budget negotiation and timely submissions of reimbursements

What We're Looking For

- Master's degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field
- 10+ years of process improvement in the development sector
- Fluent in English and Hindi; strong technical writing in English
