Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team, specializing in New Product Development. This role requires a research-driven individual who can understand client requirements, develop cutting-edge designs and lead the process of taking these designs from concept to final installation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modular systems, a deep understanding of market trends and experience in coordinating with production teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Client Requirements & Conceptualization:
- Engage with clients to fully understand their requirements, ideas, and design preferences. Ensure that designs are tailored to meet the needs and specifications of the customer, while maintaining functionality and aesthetics.
- Accurately measure spaces and incorporate client requirements into the design process to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Design Creation & Presentation:
- Prepare 2-3 design options (2D/3D) based on client requirements. Present these designs to clients for feedback, ensuring that each design aligns with their vision and functional needs.
- Make adjustments to the design concepts based on client feedback to ensure final approval before moving to production.




- Detailed Construction Drawings & Approvals:
- Create and prepare detailed construction drawings that include dimensions, materials, and specifications. Ensure the designs are precise and meet all quality and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with clients and internal teams to get the designs approved, addressing any concerns or modifications required.
- BOQ, BOM & Estimation:
- Prepare the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for each project, accurately estimating the quantity and cost of materials required for production.
- Provide accurate project cost estimates to clients and stakeholders, ensuring budget alignment and cost-effective solutions.
- Coordination with Production Team:
- Work closely with the production team to ensure the design is implemented as per the specifications mentioned in the approved construction drawings.
- Address any issues or challenges during production to ensure the design is realized accurately and meets quality standards.
- Installation Monitoring:
- Oversee and monitor the installation of products at the client’s site, ensuring that the installation process aligns with the agreed specifications and timelines.
- Ensure that any adjustments or modifications required during installation are handled promptly to meet client satisfaction.
- Client Interaction & Relationship Management:
- Maintain regular communication with clients to get genuine feedback on their needs and provide timely solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with builders, architects, contractors, and end users in the construction and interior design industries.
- Address client concerns and requirements at the right time, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.
- Business Development & Networking:
- Approach and engage with architects,



builders, and key stakeholders in the construction industry to expand the client base and build brand recognition.
- Participate in networking events, conferences, and trade shows to develop new business opportunities.
- Research & Development:
- Conduct research & development in the latest market trends in furniture, modular design systems, and interior design.
- Stay updated on industry innovations, materials, and design methodologies to continuously improve the product offering.
- Brand Management & Marketing:
- Identify innovative marketing opportunities to enhance the brand presence and promote new products.
- Participate in the development of promotional activities, product launches, and marketing campaigns, ensuring the product resonates with target audiences and stands out in the market.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a strong focus on new product development and modular design.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, 3DS Max, SketchUp, etc.) for creating 2D and 3D design models and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Bill of Quantity (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), and cost estimation.
- Experience in working with modular furniture, modular kitchen designs or similar products.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting design ideas to clients and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of construction industry processes, including working with builders, architects, and contractors.
- Research-focused, with the ability to identify and integrate emerging trends in the furniture and design industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure products meet specifications and client requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and client expectations.
