Role Description The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will support faculty-led research projects by conducting literature reviews, designing experiments or studies, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting in the preparation of research reports and publications. The role includes contributing to documentation for funding agencies, maintaining research records, and collaborating with project team members to meet milestones and deliverables. The JRF will participate in academic discussions, seminars, and presentations, and may assist in mentoring students involved in the project.
This is a contract role,
based on-site at NIT Agartala, requiring regular presence on campus in Agartala.
Qualifications
- Strong research abilities, including literature review, data collection, and data analysis skills relevant to the project domain.
- Proficiency in academic writing, documentation, and preparation of reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
- Familiarity with relevant tools, software, or laboratory techniques (such as statistical software, coding environments, or experimental setups, as applicable to the project).
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to contribute to research design and interpretation of results.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work constructively in a multidisciplinary research team.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution; eligibility as per applicable funding agency or institute norms.
- Demonstrated interest in research, such as project work, internships, publications, or conference presentations, is an advantage.
- Ability to commit to on-site work in Agartala for the duration of the contract and adhere to institutional research ethics and guidelines.
