As a Junior Research Analyst, you will work closely with the research team and fund manager to identify and evaluate investment opportunities across sectors. The role combines rigorous financial and business analysis, industry research, fieldwork, and continuous learning.

We're looking for someone intellectually curious, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a genuine passion for equities. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, is comfortable operating independently, and is willing to go beyond desk research to build a first-hand understanding of businesses and what drives them.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed fundamental research on companies across sectors to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Analyse business models, industry dynamics, competitive positioning, growth drivers, risks, and long-term value creation potential.
- Evaluate financial statements, accounting practices, cash flows, capital allocation, and key financial and operating metrics.
- Build a strong understanding of each business's value chain — customers, vendors, competitors, regulators, bankers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct primary and secondary research, including company visits, management interactions, channel checks, and discussions with industry participants.
- Track developments across assigned companies and sectors, continuously updating investment theses as new information emerges.
- Analyse annual reports,



investor presentations, earnings calls, industry reports, regulatory filings, and other relevant sources.
- Build and maintain financial models to assess business performance, valuation, risk, and potential returns.
- Identify key risks and assess risk/reward dynamics across business cycles.
- Present well-reasoned investment findings and recommendations to the research team and fund manager.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of research, analysis, assumptions, and investment rationale.
- Stay current on developments across the broader equity markets and sectors under coverage.
- Demonstrate ownership, intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and attention to detail while delivering against defined research timelines.

Qualifications: Experience and Qualifications: 3 years of skilled experience as a CA (Chartered Accountant) or 5 years of professional experience as CFA/MBA in finance.
