We are a US-based semiconductor technology company building next-generation products in the ASIC and

FPGA domain. As we expand our global R&D; footprint, we are establishing our India engineering center and are seeking a senior leader to build and lead this organization from the ground up.

This is not a traditional engineering management role.

The successful candidate will act as the CEO's trusted leadership partner in India, combining deep technical expertise with strong business judgment, operational leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset. This individual will be responsible for shaping the technical organization, building high-performing teams,

driving execution, and establishing India as a critical center of innovation and product development.

Role Overview

As the Head of India Engineering & Operations, you will be responsible for building and scaling the India organization while serving as the senior-most technical and operational leader in the region.

You will work closely with the CEO and global leadership team to translate company vision into execution,

build engineering capability, establish processes, attract top talent, and create a culture of ownership and innovation.

This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between architecture discussions, customer conversations, hiring decisions, delivery reviews, organizational planning, and strategic business discussions.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

Provide technical leadership across ASIC, FPGA, SoC, and related semiconductor development initiatives.

Review architecture, design,



verification, implementation, and product execution strategies.

Guide technical teams in solving complex engineering challenges.

Establish engineering best practices, development methodologies, and quality standards.

India Site Leadership

Build and scale the India engineering organization from zero to a high-performing R&D; center.

Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and technical teams.

Create a strong culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and innovation.

Serve as the primary leadership representative for the India organization.

Business & Operational Leadership

Partner directly with the CEO on strategic planning and execution.

Participate in organizational planning, budgeting, hiring strategies, and growth initiatives.

Establish operational processes and execution frameworks that enable scale.

Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, customers, and leadership teams.

Help shape long-term business strategy and organizational growth.

Execution Ownership

Own delivery commitments, execution timelines, and organizational performance.

Ensure engineering investments align with company objectives and customer needs.





Identify risks early and drive resolution across teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a builder rather than a caretaker.

The ideal candidate combines deep semiconductor expertise with proven leadership experience and a strong entrepreneurial mindset.

Required Experience

15+ years of experience in semiconductor product development.

Strong background in ASIC, FPGA, SoC, VLSI, Design, Verification, Architecture, or related domains.

Experience leading large engineering programs and cross-functional technical teams.

Experience managing engineering managers, architects, and senior technical leaders.

Robust understanding of semiconductor product development lifecycle.

Demonstrated ability to drive execution in fast-paced environments.
