About the Role
Illuminate Communication is looking for a creative and organised Social Media Executive / Content Strategist to join our team. The role involves working across a diverse portfolio of brands and contributing to their social media strategy, content planning and day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities
Develop monthly social media strategies and content calendars
Plan content across Reels, posts, carousels and Stories
Research social media trends, competitors and content opportunities
Conceptualise creative ideas and campaigns for different brands
Write captions, social copy, Reel hooks and basic campaign copy
Plan and coordinate photo and video content shoots
Create moodboards, references and content briefs for shoots
Create social media grids along with the designers
Brief and coordinate with designers, video editors and photographers
Support with social media post creation when required




Shoot basic photo/video content for social media when required
Assist with creating simple, quick-form video/Reel content
Manage client communication, feedback and content approvals
Schedule and publish content across social media platforms
Ensure monthly content and deliverables are completed as per timelines
Review social media insights and performance to inform future content
Maintain consistency in each brand's tone of voice and overall communication
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in social media, content or digital marketing
Agency experience preferred
Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels and current social media trends
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong creative and visual sensibility
Basic knowledge of shooting and creating social-first video content
Basic knowledge of Canva or similar content creation tools is preferred
Comfortable creating straightforward content independently when required
