Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Equity Dealer with strong exposure to equity derivatives and arbitrage strategies . The incumbent will be responsible for executing equity-market transactions based on Fund Manager requirements while ensuring best execution, minimal market impact, effective risk management, and adherence to regulatory and internal dealing procedures.

The candidate should have solid knowledge of equity markets, derivatives, arbitrage, ETFs/index strategies, institutional dealing processes, and capital markets .

Key Responsibilities

- Execute equity and derivatives trades based on instructions from Fund Managers.
- Handle high-volume institutional equity dealing while ensuring best execution and minimum market impact.
- Execute and monitor derivatives and arbitrage strategies .
- Manage trade execution, order management, confirmations, allocations, and deal tickets.
- Minimise trading errors, near-errors, execution risks, and transaction costs.
- Monitor market liquidity, price movements, volumes, spreads, volatility, and other market developments.
- Support dealing requirements for Equity ETFs, index funds, and other passively managed strategies .
- Maintain portfolio/dealing sheets and monitor securities for MTM gains/losses and other relevant exposures.
- Coordinate regularly with Fund Managers and research analysts regarding portfolio and execution requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers and counterparties and develop an effective market-information network.
- Provide Fund Managers with relevant market intelligence, liquidity information,



execution feedback, and trading ideas.
- Coordinate with back-office/operations teams for timely settlement and reconciliation of transactions.
- Allocate brokerage/commissions in accordance with internal guidelines.
- Identify trading opportunities and execution strategies that can reduce market impact and portfolio risk.
- Ensure dealing activities comply with applicable SEBI/AMFI regulations, internal policies, and SOPs .

Key Skills & Competencies Equity & Derivatives Dealing

- Strong hands-on experience in equity-market dealing and institutional trade execution.
- Practical understanding of derivatives, futures & options, and arbitrage strategies .
- Ability to execute large orders while managing liquidity and market impact.
- Understanding of ETFs, index strategies, cash equities, and related instruments.

Market & Investment Knowledge

- Strong understanding of Indian capital markets and the investment-management industry.
- Knowledge of equity analysis, valuation, risk-return characteristics, and portfolio monitoring.
- Ability to analyse market trends and short- to medium-term market movements.
- Understanding of macroeconomic factors including interest rates, inflation, monetary policy, fiscal policy, and their impact on financial markets.

Risk & Compliance





- Strong focus on prevention of trading and operational errors.
- Understanding of execution risk, liquidity risk, market risk, and portfolio exposures.
- Working knowledge of SEBI/AMFI regulations and compliance requirements applicable to investment/dealing operations.

Broker & Counterparty Management

- Robust network and working relationships with brokers and market counterparties.
- Ability to source market intelligence and liquidity efficiently.
- Experience coordinating with brokers, Fund Managers, analysts, operations, and settlement teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in equity dealing/trading.
- Strong derivatives and arbitrage experience is important for the role .
- Prior experience with AMCs, Mutual Funds, PMS platforms, Wealth Management firms, Banking Treasury, Broking Firms, Insurance/Investment platforms, or other institutional financial-services organisations .
- Experience dealing with meaningful institutional trading volumes.
- Familiarity with dealer terminals and institutional order-management processes.
- Strong understanding of the mutual fund/investment-management ecosystem, market regulations, and dealing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly around execution accuracy and risk controls.
