About the Role

Birla Global University invites applications for the position of Director – Placement to lead and drive the University's Placement, Career Development and Corporate Relations function. The position will be responsible for developing strategic employer partnerships, enhancing placement outcomes, expanding the recruiter network and strengthening student employability across the University's Schools and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the University's overall Placement and Career Development function.
- Develop and implement annual placement strategies, targets and action plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, MNCs, PSUs, startups, consulting firms and leading employers.
- Expand the University's recruiter network and establish new corporate partnerships.
- Drive campus placements, internships, PPOs and industry engagement initiatives.
- Develop strategies to improve placement percentage, average/median CTC and quality of recruiters.
- Coordinate with Deans, faculty members and other stakeholders for effective placement planning.
- Lead pre-placement training, career development and employability enhancement initiatives.
- Monitor placement performance through MIS, analytics and periodic reporting.
- Provide leadership, direction and performance management to the Placement Team.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing recruiters and ensure repeat recruitment.




- Represent the University at relevant corporate, industry and skilled forums.
- Submit periodic placement performance reports and strategic recommendations to the Registrar.

Candidate Profile

- Master's degree/MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in university placements, corporate relations, talent acquisition, career services or business development.
- Proven experience in leading placement/corporate relations functions in a reputed University, B-School, Higher Education Institution or similar organisation.
- Strong network among HR Heads, CHROs, Talent Acquisition Heads and corporate decision-makers will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving strong placement outcomes and developing new recruiters.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, networking and relationship-management skills.
- Strong strategic orientation with a target-driven and result-oriented approach.
