MENSWEAR JEANS AND BOTTOMWEAR DESIGNER

We are looking for a creative and commercially driven Menswear Jeans & Bottomwear Designer to lead the design and development of denim and woven bottomwear categories. The ideal candidate should possess strong trend awareness, excellent product development skills, and a deep understanding of value fashion, balancing aesthetics, cost, quality, and customer needs.

EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from NIFT, Pearl Academy, or any reputed fashion institute.

INDUSTRY PREFERENCE

Candidates with experience in value retail, fashion retail, or large-format apparel brands will be preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design seasonal collections for Denim Jeans, Chinos, Casual Trousers, Cargo Pants, Joggers, Shorts.
- Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, color palettes, fabric stories, silhouettes, and trims aligned with the brand direction.
- Conduct trend research using global forecasting platforms, market intelligence, store visits, and competitor benchmarking.
- Create commercially relevant designs suitable for the value retail customer while maintaining fashion appeal.
- Develop detailed tech packs with construction details, measurements, wash specifications, trims, artwork, and finishing instructions.
- Collaborate closely with Buying, Merchandising, Sourcing,



Technical, and Sampling teams to ensure timely product development.
- Work with vendors to develop new washes, finishes, garment dyes, prints, and innovative constructions.
- Participate in fit sessions and ensure garment fit, comfort, and quality meet brand standards.
- Manage seasonal design calendars and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Maintain product cost awareness and design within target cost parameters.
- Build and maintain seasonal fabric, trim, wash, and fit libraries.
- Support continuous improvement through design innovation, AI-enabled research tools, and digital product development platforms.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

5–6 years of experience in designing menswear denim and woven bottomwear. Experience with organized retail, value fashion, or branded apparel businesses is highly desirable. Strong vendor development and sample management experience. Demonstrated ability to create commercially successful seasonal collections. Passionate about fashion, innovation, and consumer-centric product development.
