About Fireflies Creative Technologies

Fireflies Creative Technologies (FCT) is a technology and product innovation company working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, software, intelligent hardware, computer vision and immersive digital experiences .

We are building a new generation of technology products that combine software, AI and physical technology to create intelligent, interactive and highly contextual experiences.

As we move from product development and prototyping toward building scalable technology platforms and commercial products, we are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take ownership of our technology vision and execution.

This is not a traditional corporate CTO role .

We are looking for a technology leader who wants to build from the ground up , make critical architectural decisions, develop the technology team and work closely with the founder to turn ambitious product concepts into real-world products.

The Role

As CTO, you will be responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy for Fireflies Creative Technologies .

You will work across multiple areas of technology, including:

- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Computer Vision
- Generative AI
- Edge AI
- Cloud infrastructure
- Backend systems & APIs
- Frontend applications
- Intelligent hardware
- Camera and sensor technologies
- Real-time data processing
- Product architecture
- Cybersecurity and scalability
- Emerging technologies

You will be expected to operate at both strategic and technical levels — from defining system architecture and evaluating technologies to reviewing engineering decisions and building the technology team. What You Will Own1. Technology Vision

Define the long-term technology roadmap for FCT and establish the architecture required to turn product concepts into scalable technology platforms.

You will help determine

- What technologies we should adopt
- What we should build internally
- What we should integrate from existing platforms
- What technologies we should invest in for the future

1. Product Engineering

Lead the development of core technology platforms and products. You will work closely with the founder, product and design teams to convert concepts and prototypes into reliable, production-ready products.

The role requires someone who can move comfortably between:

Concept → Architecture → Prototype → Product → Scale

1. AI & Intelligent Systems

Guide the development and integration of AI-powered systems involving areas such as:
- Computer vision
- Object and person detection
- Tracking systems
- Visual intelligence
- Contextual intelligence
- Generative AI
- Recommendation systems
- Personalisation
- Edge inference
- Multimodal AI





You do not need to personally build every AI model. However, you must understand these technologies deeply enough to make sound technical, architectural and product decisions .

1. Hardware + Software Integration

FCT works at the intersection of software and physical technology. You will be involved in integrating technologies such as:
- Cameras
- Depth sensors
- Displays
- Edge computing devices
- GPUs
- Microphones
- IoT devices
- Networking
- Embedded systems
- Sensors and other emerging hardware

Experience working across the hardware/software boundary will be highly valuable.
1. Engineering Team

Build and lead the technology organization as FCT grows. This may include hiring and managing:
- AI/ML engineers
- Backend engineers
- Frontend engineers
- Computer vision engineers
- Embedded/edge engineers
- DevOps/cloud engineers
- Software engineers

You will establish the engineering culture, technical standards, development processes and delivery discipline required to build a high-performing technology organization.
1. Architecture & Infrastructure

Design systems capable of supporting commercial-scale deployment. You will make decisions around:
- Cloud vs. edge processing
- APIs and services
- Databases
- AI inference infrastructure
- GPU infrastructure
- Security
- Data pipelines
- Monitoring
- Deployment
- Scalability
- Reliability

1. Technology Partnerships

Evaluate and work with technology vendors, AI platforms, hardware manufacturers, development partners and strategic technology partners. You should be comfortable determining whether a capability should be:

Built internally → Bought → Licensed → Partnered rather than automatically building everything from scratch.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a builder and technology leader , not simply a technology manager.

You may be a strong fit if you have:

- 8+ years of experience in technology/product engineering
- Experience leading engineering teams
- Strong understanding of modern AI/ML technologies
- Experience with computer vision or intelligent systems
- Experience taking products from prototype to production
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and APIs
- Experience integrating hardware with software
- Experience with GPUs / edge computing
- Strong product thinking
- Ability to make architecture and technology decisions independently
- Ability to recruit and build a high-performing technical team
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A strong curiosity for emerging technologies
