Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounts Executive, based in South Mumbai. The Accounts Executive will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation support, credit control and maintaining accurate financial records. The role will also involve coordinating with internal departments, vendors, banks, auditors and other external stakeholders.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience | B.Com / M.Com

Experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.

Qualifications & Skills

- Robust knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Hands-on experience in Tally ERP 6 / Tally Prime
- Good working knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax
- Experience in bank and ledger reconciliations
- Knowledge of accounts payable, receivables and credit control
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English and Hindi
- Strong analytical and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Record and verify receipts, payments, purchases, sales and other financial transactions in Tally.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash flow statements for company and operational requirements.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and customer ledger management.




- Monitor credit control and outstanding receivables and follow up for timely collections.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a regular basis.
- Prepare and post journal entries, provisions, accruals and adjustment entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
- Verify vendor invoices and ensure proper accounting and supporting documentation.
- Verify GSTR-2B / purchase data and coordinate with suppliers regarding discrepancies and filing compliance.
- Assist in preparation and reconciliation of GST and TDS workings and related returns.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable TDS, GST and Income Tax requirements.
- Assist in preparation of Income Tax returns, tax workings and statutory documentation.
- Assist the Accounts Manager in the finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
- Assist in preparation and review of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile various general ledger, customer and vendor accounts.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documents and information for statutory and tax audits.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Prepare MIS reports and other financial reports as required by management.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting and statutory records.
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, suppliers and internal departments on accounting and payment-related matters.
- Support the Accounts Manager in various accounting, finance and compliance-related activities.

Reports to: Accounts Manager

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented and responsible accounting professional with hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting, reconciliations and statutory compliance. The candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting practices, be comfortable working with Tally and MS Excel, and possess the ability to manage multiple accounting activities within defined timelines.

- Hospitality / Hotel accounting experience will be an added advantage.
