About the role

The City of Coffs Harbour is looking for an experienced and inspiring leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as the Group Leader Planning and Environment.

Reporting directly to the Director City Planning and Communities, you'll provide strategic direction across a diverse portfolio spanning planning, environmental management, development assessment, building certification, development engineering, compliance, public health and natural resource planning. You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in town planning, urban planning, natural resource planning or a related discipline.
- Significant senior leadership experience within planning, development, environmental management or related fields.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams through change and transformation.
- Strong strategic thinking, political acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working across government, industry and community sectors.
