About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bar Bending Scheduler who can read structural and reinforcement drawings and prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for Australian construction projects.

You will work closely with our management, production and fabrication teams to ensure reinforcement steel is scheduled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) from structural and reinforcement drawings.
- Read and interpret structural engineering and reinforcement drawings.
- Calculate bar lengths, shapes, quantities and weights.
- Prepare cutting and bending schedules for reinforcement steel.
- Check bar sizes, shapes, hooks, bends, laps and quantities.
- Prepare schedules in accordance with Australian Standards and project requirements.
- Optimise bar lengths to minimise steel wastage.
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies before production.
- Update schedules when drawings are revised.
- Coordinate with production and fabrication teams.
- Prepare accurate information for cutting, bending and dispatch.




- Maintain proper records of schedules and revisions.

Essential Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in Bar Bending Scheduling / Rebar Detailing.
- Solid experience reading structural and reinforcement drawings.
- Good knowledge of reinforcement steel and bar bending requirements.
- Experience preparing BBS for construction projects.
- Strong understanding of reinforcement bar shapes, bends, hooks, laps and quantities.
- Experience with BBS/detailing software is highly desirable.
- Good computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Australian Experience – Highly Preferred

Candidates with experience working on Australian reinforcement projects, Australian Standards or Australian rebar detailing will be strongly preferred.

Experience with Australian reinforcement standards such as AS/NZS 4671 and AS 3600 will be highly regarded.
