Risk Specialist Job Description
Job Title: Risk Specialist
Location: Pune, India
Reporting To: KAD or DGM HSE
Role Purpose: The Risk Specialist will be responsible for managing and monitoring operational, statutory, and regulatory risks across PAN India sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend monthly client risk forums, represent ISS, document actions, and ensure closure before the next forum.
Lead monthly internal risk forums, prepare risk forum packs, track actions, and ensure timely closure.
Report food-related incidents to clients within 24 hours and share RCA within 10 working days.
Stay updated on all incidents (Transport, H&S;, Engineering, FM) across PAN India sites, track severity levels (1, 2, 3), and coordinate with service line managers for risk assessment.
Collaborate with Ops teams to identify building and operational risks.
Update India Operational Risk Register and monitor mitigation steps and closure of open actions.
Prepare and share monthly statutory and regulatory compliance slides for client risk forums.
Manage attestation process for BI & BX compliance trackers:
Request evidence uploads by 27th/28th of each month. Validate evidence and share attestation emails by 5th/6th.
Liaise with service line leads for recent compliance additions and ensure updates on SharePoint.
Support yearly assurance reviews initiated by clients.
Review AMC and vendor contract trackers monthly; coordinate with stakeholders for renewals.
Conduct weekly meetings with service line leads to discuss pending actions.
Follow up on open actions from Global Control Testing.
Support yearly updates and testing of Business Continuity Plans.
Ensure yearly attestation of ISS role in Barclays BCP guidelines.
Secure KPI sign-offs (KM3 & KM9).
Maintain SOPs for compliance and risk processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate in Risk Management, Safety, Compliance, or related field.
