- Role Description
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace – both Managed and SaaS environments
- • Solid understanding of observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces, synthetic monitoring, alerting)
- • Familiarity with YAML-based configuration files • Awareness of change management / ITSM processes • Working knowledge of Jira for task tracking Daily Responsibilities
- • Review the list of use cases assigned per application that need to be configured or improved.
- • Assess existing monitoring setup for each application and identify improvement areas.
- • Implement improvements, including:
- ◦ Adjusting/tuning alert thresholds
- ◦ Creating custom metrics ◦ Drafting YAML files for log monitoring
- ◦ Drafting YAML files for synthetic HTTP monitors
- • Share prepared YAML files with the SRE team for deployment (self-serve model).
- • Raise a request to EMAS for any configuration task outside your permitted access scope.
- • Track and update all assigned use cases in Jira (see Jira Workflow section).
