Position: Investment Associate

Requisite Qualification: CA

Requisite Experience:1-3 years in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or startup ecosystem

Other specific required Skills for the Role:Financial modelling & valuation, cap table management, term sheet / SHA / CCD / CCPS drafting & review, IC memo preparation, due diligence, MCA/ROC and SEBI AIF compliance knowledge, advanced Excel & PowerPoint

JD:

1. Support end-to-end deal execution screening, due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and closing of investment instruments (PROTECTED, CCD, CCPS)

2. Prepare Investment Committee (IC) memos, cap table analysis, and valuation/financial summaries to support investment decisions

Draft and review investment and legal documentation (SHA, CCD/CCPS agreements, convertible notes) in coordination with legal counsel

4. Track portfolio company compliance MCA/ROC filings, utilisation certificates, statements of expenditure, and reporting for government grant schemes (DST NIDHI-PRAYAS, BIRAC, MSINS, SISFS)

5. Maintain and update cap tables, investment trackers, and portfolio MIS/dashboards for ongoing monitoring

6. Coordinate with founders, co-investors, and Somaiya Angel Network members on deal flow, diligence, and portfolio reviews
