Role Overview

We're looking for a Media Relations Specialist to support press outreach, build journalist relationships, and help secure coverage for our client roster. This role suits someone early-to-mid career who is hungry to build a media network, sharp with a pitch, and comfortable working across multiple accounts in a fast-moving agency environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts across print, digital, and broadcast
- Draft press releases, media alerts, pitch notes, and briefing documents under guidance from senior PR team members
- Execute media outreach for client accounts, pitching stories to relevant journalists and publications
- Maintain and regularly update media lists and the agency's journalist database
- Track and log media coverage,



compiling clippings and coverage reports for clients
- Monitor daily news and industry trends to flag reactive PR and newsjacking opportunities to seniors
- Coordinate logistics for press events, media interviews, and launches (invites, RSVPs, on-ground support)
- Assist with drafting FAQs, talking points, and briefing materials ahead of media interactions
- Support senior team members on account servicing and client coverage updates

Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in media relations, PR, or journalism (agency experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of the Indian media landscape and willingness to build on existing contacts
- Strong written communication skills with an eye for a valuable story angle
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple pitches/deadlines at once
- Proactive and curious, reads the news, spots patterns, follows up without being asked
