Job Context & Major Challenges
The Plant is over 50 years old and process improvements have evolved over the years. Till 1995-96, there was no competition and market was protected. New Plants with superior technology came up and cheaper products like cotton and polyester came up in direct competition to VSF. Current products began to be introduced in markets, which were also opening up to other players. VSF sales started getting affected and now pose a major challenge for growth and survival.

In order to remain competitive in the market, product range has been enhanced over the years, within the process limitations. The quality of pulp is also not uniform, affecting the final product quality. Complexity is compounded by the emphasis on a multiple product range for different segments / customers.

Complexities/challenges

Attending Tax matters of for SFD, EFD, 40MW and 2 Subsidiary Companies of the Grasim and 4 Investments Companies of Group from Nagda and Liasioning with Income tax Authorities.





Co-ordination with Various Departments during the Planning & Budgeting Exercise.

Interacting with and providing details to various legal consultants in respect of various appeals & pending matters.

Preparation of Monthly Information for submission to Higher Ups relating to Various Dates & Status of Hearings & Appeals.

Preparation of application U/s 80G and 35(1)(ii), submission of the same to Concerned Authorities and follow up for seeking approval.
