- Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs for manufacturing equipment.
- Configure and maintain HMI, SCADA, and DCS interfaces.
- Perform logic testing, debugging, and validation of control systems.
- Maintain program backups and version control in compliance with change management procedures.
- Integrate PLC systems with SCADA, DCS, and MES platforms where applicable.
- Conduct IO checks, loop checks, and functional testing.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Assist in commissioning and start-up of PLC-controlled equipment.
- Support equipment qualification activities (IQ/OQ) in coordination with QA and Validation teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
- Functional descriptions
- IO lists
- Control philosophy documents
- Assist in preparation of URS, FRS, and validation protocols.
- Ensure compliance with:
- GMP requirements
- 21 CFR Part 11 (where applicable)
- Data integrity guidelines
- Maintain audit-ready records for system changes and upgrades.




- Provide technical support for automation-related breakdowns.
- Diagnose and rectify PLC hardware and software issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance of automation systems.
- Support root cause analysis for automation-related deviations.
- Implement approved changes to PLC programs following change control procedures.
- Perform impact assessments for automation modifications.
- Update documentation following system updates or enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
- Support implementation of automation upgrades.
- Contribute to Industry 4.0 initiatives such as predictive maintenance and data analytics.
- Work closely with Production, QA, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
- Provide technical guidance to operators and maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate with vendors during installation and troubleshooting activities.
