Role: Purchase Executive : Packaging Material

Department: Procurement / Purchase

Reports To: Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and other operational requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and payment-related queries.
- Evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and service.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements and approved plans.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or supply issues.
- Maintain purchase orders, vendor records, quotations, price agreements, and other procurement documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, open POs, pending deliveries, and material requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, Finance, and Packaging Development teams for smooth procurement operations.
- Support cost optimization, alternate vendor development, and price negotiations.




- Ensure procurement is carried out in accordance with company policies, approved specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Track vendor performance and support periodic vendor evaluation and development.
- Prepare MIS reports related to purchase, savings, pending orders, vendor performance, and material availability.

Qualification: Graduate in any relevant discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain or Procurement is an added advantage.

Experience: Typically, 1-1.5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or packaging industries.
